Tragic incident happened on February 22, 2024, in Georgia USA. Laken Hope, a 22 year old American nursing student, was abducted and killed while she was jogging at the University of Georgia. Laken loved running and was training to run a Marathon. She planned to live her life helping others. She loved God, her family and friends. Laken loved life!
To commemorate Laken, her life, her dreams and support her family, friends have organised an event in her name. Called ’22 for 22’, people will walk or run 22 laps around her old school’s running track, at River Ridge High School, Woodstock, Georgia USA. Donations will be raised for the ‘Laken Hope Foundation’.
Team Chariot has registered to show support for Laken’s family. As a virtual challenge, here in the UK, Team Chariot will aim to encourage & raise the flag for the ‘Laken Hope Foundation’ in it’s normal style. 22 miles, carrying 22lbs, with 22 push-ups every mile. Any donations will be directed straight to the family’s website (runsignup.com/Race/GA/Woodstock/22for22).
